Turns out probiotics can help you have a better vacation. Here's what I mean…
Several years back, my husband and I were planning to go over to China. (He had been invited to speak about some of the advancements our products had made in sports medicine.) I knew we'd be exposed to all sorts of "weird" foods, and I certainly didn't want to get sick while half way around the world.
I especially didn't want to end up embarrassed in front of our Chinese hosts by having tummy "issues."
So, to prep my digestive system, I decided to take some probiotics, to put the "good" bacteria in my body. I took Daniel Chapter One's A&B Biotropins for 3 weeks before our trip. (A&B Biotripins should really be classified as a biotropin but since most people identify with what probiotics are, so I'm using the term here.) The results actually surprised me. Not only was my body totally prepared to handle the new foods we had in China, (no gas and no bad breath - yay!) but I noticed a fascinating side effect:
I was in a CRAZY GOOD mood. Normally, I'm a pretty even keel kind of person. But after my gut was happier, it seemed like I was happier than ever, too. Coincidence? Maybe. But I still though it was worth sharing. Happy travel! |
