A Panasonic factory in northeastern Qingdao was attacked, forcing the company to close operations on Tuesday. Honda and Nissan, the automobile giants, said they would suspend production for two days. Clothing retailer Uniqlo, which is a popular brand in China, closed its flagship store in Beijing Sanlitun shopping district on Saturday. A crowd of protesters gathered in front of the store on Sunday night, calling on Chinese to boycott Japanese brands.
If the Japanese factories are no longer safe in China, they should consider moving elsewhere. I'm sure there are many safe, stable parts of the world who are willing to host their factories. America comes to mind, they would love those jobs. Or perhaps India? It's too bad that with the rising nationalist sentiment and xenophobia, China is no longer a stable, safe environment for foreign business and investment. They will pay a price for this in the long run.
While China is Japan's biggest trade partner, any slump in the $345-billion trade is, however, also likely to impact Beijing amid a global slowdown that has hit its export industry.

I hope the Indian government is taking notice of these evennts. Our Government should immediately send its emissaries to japan and firmly pledge our support to them. Also we can send a message that Indians are very friendly towards the Japanese and their companies and are always ready to welcome with open arms in event they choose to invest in India.
