Sigh. I like Abrams work typically and if I watched TV (I will not, but if its an excellent series I'll rent it/stream it later) and I understand that there are only lots of threads of original ideas that may be mined. I'm fine with that as well. I enjoy when a brand new take is done on an old idea. BUT, I must draw the line when the derivative does not give proper credit to the original idea.

Here's the Wiki excerpt with regard to Stirling's series, let me know you may notice the similarities: "Emberverse, or Change World, [1] is a group of postapocalyptic alternate history novels written by S. M. Stirling. The novels depict the particular events following "The Change", which caused electricity, guns, explosives, internal combustion engines, and steam power to prevent working. ".

Aside from the characters on NBC innovative series Revolution, because they will haven't any electricity to watch TV after an apocalyptic complete distruction leaves America unplugged from all devices and devices. That right, there no cars, no cell phones, no Internet, no that sounds like it could be pretty relaxing. But we sure currently being stripped of technology will have some serious consequences for the show characters, who will be played out by costars like Billy Burke (Twilight), Giancarlo Esposito (Smashing Bad) and Andrea Roth (Ringer). Abrams (Lost) and Eric Kripke (Great) will produce that project. |
